Voice of Calvary Ministries participated in the “Super Tax Day Saturday” February 6, 2016 held at the Jackson Medical Mall hosted by United Way/ Entergy in partnership with the IRS and the Jackson Asset Building Coalition. United way offered tax clients the opportunity to learn about organizations that could help them build a savings, improve credit, gain job skills, to improve their lives. IRS certified volunteers prepared and filed tax returns free of charge for clients whose household income was less than $54,000 in 2015!
VOCM provided information on their Affordable Housing Program, Budgeting and Credit Counseling program, Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) and On the Road to Health initiative. We will have our 5th Annual Trace Ride April 16, 2016. The proceeds will benefit homeless veterans through our SSVF outreach program.
