On September 18th, VOCM sponsored our first Community Leadership Institute

On September 18^th, VOCM sponsored the first Community Leadership Institute.  The event was attended by about 40 community people.  It was a time of fun, fellowship and follow up to the West Jackson Master Plan process.  Entertainment was provided by community members Willie and Betty Lyons, the Jackson Zoo Mobile, and the Purple Diamonds.  An energetic discussion was led by Dr. Mukesh Kumar from Jackson State University on how community residents can begin to implement the West Jackson Planning Guidebook in their neighborhoods.
