“Martin Luther King Jr. Day is not just a federal holiday when you take off work, it’s also meant to be a national day of service — a time for action” said Mrs. Barbara Thornton, Community Engagement Coordinator for Voice of Calvary Ministries. Barbara also shared her observation that you don’t have to go far to find someone who needs help, which reminds and encourages each of us to maintain a heart that is ready serve.

On this annual ‘day for service’ Voice of Calvary Ministries (VOCM) hosted a team of medical students who completed a service project here at VOCM.
