I am a pastor at Austin Korean Presbyterian Church, and our church has been going to Jackson, Mississippi for 10 years to serve with the Voice of Calvary ministry. Every year we are excited to see the redemptive work that God is doing in the city of Jackson and to be part of God’s plan in restoring it one house at a time. It has been a huge blessing to be a part of the ministry and to see how God is working through them. Every time we join VOCM our team gets a picture of what heaven must be like. Where there are no barriers and every race, tongue, and nation can join together in worshiping our heavenly Father.
Revelation 7:9 says, “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.”
And this is the picture we get every time we serve in Jackson, Mississippi. Every time we go to the city we try to offer able hands and feet but instead we leave with such full hearts. God teaches us so much more than what we can offer through serving. It has been a huge blessing for our ministry to be a part of the work God is doing in Jackson, Mississippi.
