Sowing Seeds of Hope Since 1975
On Thursday, October 24, 2019, Ms. Pennie, a former Voice of Calvary Ministries’ (VOCM) client was a guest speaker at Mississippi Home Corporation’s Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Workshop.
Ms. Pennie shared her story of the serious life challenges she and her children were experiencing when she received support and encouragement from Ms. Barbara Thornton /Case Manager. The program helped to prevent them from falling back into sustained homelessness. Ms. Pennie also shared how she is working toward personal financial sustainability.
Ms. Pennie’s story was an encouragement to the attendees who serve homeless individuals and families to help them transition to housing stability and self-sufficiency.
