Food insecurity is prevalent in our communities. To address this need for residents of the metro-Jackson area, VOCM is a participating agency with the Mississippi Food Network to provide food for residents in need in emergency situations. Individuals and families can receive food boxes as well as fresh fruits, vegetables and meats multiple times a year. Volunteers help with stocking food and delivery of food to elderly residents who cannot come to the food pantry. Since January 2023, we have provided food to 962 families.
The Food Pantry is available by appointment only. For assistance contact Joan Cohen at 601-969-3088.
