Comcast’s, Lift Zones are Wifi-enabled safe spaces in community organizations across the country where students and families can get online for remote learning, to learn new skills or to search for employment opportunities.
VOCM in partnership with the City of Jackson and Mississippi Home Corporation have demolished 39 abandoned and dilapidated houses that pose safety and health risks to the community. After demolition, we will embark on an effort to develop housing or mixed-use development.
Since 1975, VOCM has completely rehabbed nearly 300 houses for sale to low- and moderate-income families in West Jackson.
Since its beginning, Voice of Calvary Ministries has been bringing together volunteer groups from outside of Mississippi and within our community to serve our inner city. Without our loyal and committed volunteers, Voice of Calvary Ministries could not have existed since 1975.
